Rebecca Ruxton has been dancing competitively since the age of five and has gone on to win many awards across Canada and the United States. She has danced with many studios across Ontario and has worked extensively with accomplished tap choreographers such as Matthew Clark, Ryan Foley, Brian Foley, Rob Leduc, and Kim O’Neil to mention a few. She was a member of the Canadian National Tap team in 2006 that travelled to compete at the World Tap Championships in Reisa, Germany, winning the gold medal and has recently danced in the movie Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers.
Most of Rebecca’s time has been concentrated on successfully completing her Associate Teaching Exam’s in ballet and her Premier jazz and tap Exams, achieving highly commended. Rebecca is known for her outstanding ability to successfully prepare students for their tap examinations and at her young age has already set a reputation for herself in the industry, for extracting excellence from her students. Rebecca is very proud that all of her students have received marks of highly commended on completion of their exam work and she is currently working on Associate tap work.
Rebecca has been instructing for over 4 years with exceptional results and enjoys nothing better than working with her students and watching them fall in love with dance. She continues to be a positive role model, both inside and outside the classroom.
